Locked and LOADED, these Drake Smokies are stacked with Drake Bacon, caramelized onions, sauerkraut, dijon mustard, and gooey cheddar cheese.
What You’ll Need (serves 4):
- 1 package Drake Original Smokies (can substitute Bacon & Cheese or Jalapeno & Cheese Smokies)
- 1 package Drake Maple Bacon
- 4 large hot dog buns
- 1 cup saurkraut
- 1 cup onions (sliced)
- 4 cheddar cheese slices OR 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Grainy dijon mustard to taste
- Fries (as side)
Preparation:
- Place smokies on grill on low heat
- In medium sauce pan, cook bacon and onions until onions are caramelized
- Set aside until smokies are done
- Place cooked smokies on large hot dog buns
- Top with carmelized onions, bacon, saurkraut, and grainy dijon mustard
- Coat each with cheddar cheese
- Broil in oven until cheese is melted. Serve on a bed of fries.
